Uniontown High School students Travis Stewart, Melissa Query, and Hillary Jurgenson, developed a documentary film about the Leo Frank Case. These students produced this film in 2002-2003, as a diversity project in the social studies department with teacher Norm Conard as advisor.

The students researched for several months and came across many newspaper clippings and primary sources. The film explores the injustices which happened to a Jewish business owner in Atlanta. “Night Fell in Georgia” received 1st place at the Southeast Kansas History competition, 3rd place at the Kansas History Day, and won the Kan-Missouri film festival in the Junior Documentary category. Travis, Melissa, and Hillary were in the 8th grade the year they produced the film.

The film teaches equality and justice for everyone.
