- Across the streets from the German barracks were apartment row houses. These houses still exist. In the back of one of these houses was a garden where Irena Sendler and a friend, buried the jars.
- Hanna is pictured here in the back of her home. She was 12 years old when Irena and her mother started burying the jars in the back under an apple tree. She is pictured here in 2002 with students from the Irena Sendler project.
- Several people have been asking about the tree and area where Irena buried the jars. Hanna Piotrowska, who was 12 years old at the time her mother and Irena buried the jars, still lives here.
